... you may be over your disk quota.
- You are nearing your disk quota on Z: Please see a lab assistant for details.
- Unable to open Debug\???.obj for writing
- Invalid filename (for a valid filename).
- Unable to create ???. Access is denied.
To find out for sure, use Start->Programs->Check Disk Quota
The bottom line should show you your current disk usage on \\mrburns\username.$ (Z:)
The columns are: pie chart, status, quota (limit), current usage, and folder name. If you are over, the pie chart will have a red X on it and the status box will say OVR.
If you are indeed over, you simply need to delete some files and wait a few minutes until the quota manager refreshes. Here are some good ways to clean up disk space:
.cpp files.Debug to c:\temp\Debug. This will also significantly decrease compilation time. Remember to delete this folder from the c: drive before you log out.C:\winnt\Profiles\[username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder. Ignore the warning message. This folder can easily grow to over 10 megs in size. Notes:
After deleting files, click File->Inquire periodically until the quota manager says that you are under your quota. You will now be able to save your files again.
